Scavenger Hunt [17]

The summer long photography scavenger hunt hosted by Rinda has started today........she's posted 21 items that need to be photographed by September 23rd.......an interesting and eclectic selection.......some fairly easy.....and some definately not!!!!!
And today........much to my displeasure........17 was very easy!!!!!  RAIN!!!!!
In the South East UK May and April were the driest on record.......so it was no surprise to us Brits that the rain finally arrived last week.....with a vengeance......determined to make up for lost time.......but did it have to come just as our re-pointing was about to start.......did it have to be heavy enough to squash numerous flowers......did it have to be so torrential on the day that DD1 had her first foray into motorway driving that she could barely see through the windscreen??

And what's it doing today......yep........raining.
If you'd like to join in the scavenger hunt........it's not too late.......just pop over to Rinda's blog for all the details......and if you need a little incentive.......I understand there may be prizes involved.

Yes, we got rather more rain at the weekend that we wanted too! Looked like a river flowing down the street! Lovely rain pix from you - good luck with your scavenger hunt. Hope your DD survived her motorway "ordeal by rain" without too much stress.

Happy Monday

Good luck with the scavenger hunt! I wouldn't be able to finish it... there are no castles where I live, nor any graffiti art. But it looks like a fun list!

For once it's actually not raining here! but I am thinking about how I could tick some of the other things off my list soon

Soooooo wish we would have rain :/ The photos are great! I would have been a nervous wreck if I was dd. Off to checkout Rinda's list but doubt I'll be seeing any castles this summer.

It's pouring down here as I type and I'm hoping it might dry up by the end of the week when my sister arrives from SA for her holiday. xx

We had so much rain in May it was hard to get into our garden. Now it's been dry for over 15 days and we have to go regularly to water. You got some great shots for the scavenger hunt!

We've had a very mixed-up day weather-wise today - including some of that torrential rain! Unfortunately I didn't photograph it, having not had the chance to read through the list properly yet. I don't think that will end up being a problem though, I suspect there'll be plenty more chances to tick that one off before even this week is out!!

We could use your rain here...although less than a month ago we were flooding everywhere. the last photo appears as though the rain drops are almost like ice. beautiful!

Hi Jacky - just popping in again with a PS to say that my printer prints from the bottom too, and still grabs the fabric/paper just fine. :)

You've captured the rain drops beautifully Jacky:) This looks like a fun scavenger hunt, I'm off to check it out! Thanks for the heads up.

Well, at least you can check that one of the list! I'm going to do Rinda's challenge too and when I saw "rain" I thought "oh boy." I'm sure at some point this summer we'll have a little rain so I'll have to be ready to capture it when it does.

Pretty photos, Jacky! xo
