Why do you blog?

3 years ago I took Shimelle's 'Journal Your Christmas' class......lots of  the other students had blogs........and as Shimelle doesn't have a gallery........their blogs were the easiest way to see and comment on their pages......so I set up my own.....with no plan for it in mind at all.....it just had my journal pages with a brief comment.

I then continued putting my pages and cards on the blog.......it seemed a good way to document them......and keep track of them.....I discovered challenge blogs.....which I love.....and were great for expanding my cardmaking and scrapbooking skills.
But it wasn't until  'Blogging for Scrapbookers' class that I began to do any more than that.......I found I really enjoyed the blogs that combined craft, chat and a bit of personal life.......so nowdays I hope my blog has a bit of variety to it.......and I blog for lots of different reasons.........including the friendships that have been made through blogging.
I know more people 'visit' here than actually comment......so it would be great if today you could say "hello".....and maybe comment on.......do you prefer a variety.....or do you prefer just art and craft?
And I'd like to say a  big thank you to all who left such wonderful coments on my last post......they meant a great  deal.

I prefer a variety. Photos are especially good to add interest to a blog. Glad you started your blog, oh so many years ago!

I'm another fan of variety. I've learned so much about so many things by visiting blogs around the world! I LOVE your new blog header and design.

I'm more than happy to enjoy a little (or should that be a lot?) of whatever you fancy offering us Jacky :) I like the crafting but I also like to hear your news too

I started blogging as a a sort of on-line diary with pix and was astonished to find followers! Now I often look back at older posts (so it works then!) I also use it for challenge entries on to other blogs - I blog most days despite originally thinking I woould never find anything to write about! Love yours btw

Love the variety Jacky, love the art and craft for expanding skills and getting ideas and just marvelling at talent. Love pics again for skills and ideas and for sharing in that person's world and writing for being part of humanity. Love your blog and style and have to say you taught me a lot. Hugs Cherry XXx

I also like the variety Jacky. Although I adore your cards and altered art/mixed media pieces, I feel like you are a friend an I like to hear what you're up to (especially in your garden and with your family).
Hugs,
Rinda

Hi Jacky! Well I love your projects and the wonderful family photograph. I have to agree that I love to read blogs that have a variety of aspects to them even though I don't seem to be able to do this myself....well I'm taking Shimelle's new class so you never know, may be that will change for me. I love how you combine crafts and news so beautifully. Chris x

Hi Jacky...
I started blogging because of Wild Rose Studio and Craftbubble really..as I needed to showcase Dulcies stamps when I was asked to be on her DT. I never really know how much personal stuff other people are really interested in..I know I like a good gossip and nosey poke around pother peoples lives and craftrooms. The most comments I ever had was when I put on a picture of my dining room and kitchen!!! It's great to write to other lovely crafty gals around the world... Love your new look blog...bunting is so in at the moment! Hope you are finding time to relax in your garden and reflect and just take in what has happened recently.xxxx
