First canvas for The She Art Workshop

I love Christy Tomlinson's work and signed up for her She Art Workshop.......this is a totally different type of class for me.....and I'm loving it.......there's so much content......and yesterday I finally managed to make my first piece.....an afternoon covered in paint and glue......and surrounded by mess!!!!  Bliss [until the tidying up]!!!!
The canvas was covered with old dictionary paper and tissue......then painted using brushes, bubble wrap, magic mesh, punchinello and fingers!!
Then stamped with a an assortment of stamps.......writing, birds, butterflies, flowers and more. The close up photos show all the texture, I hope.
The paper doll was made with dictionary and decorative papers.

I hadn't realised from looking at her art that Christy uses a lot of rub ons.......didn't think I had any apart from alphabets [as I don't usually use them].......but [unsurprisingly!!!] managed to find some that I'd thought I'd never use......and, oh how useful they're now going to be!! Couldn't resist adding a few gems.
I loved making this.....the first of many, I think.......and love how it turned out.And if you want to see some really stunning ones......take a look at the flickr group.

This is so different from your usual work Jacky - and so wonderful! I love all the details. Now I'm thinking I need to find an old dictionary to rip up!
