Scrapping the winter garden

The December challenge at the Scrap Addicts forum at Craftbubble was 'winter'-with 2 photos and snowflakes......now I do realise December has long since gone......and there are more than 2 photos on this page......but at least there are plenty of snowflakes!!!This page also fits the challenge over at Papertake Weekly 'a cold and frosty morning'.....which it definately was!!
I took lots of photos of our mega-snow......but only wanted to make one page......so only 2 photos just wouldn't do.
I used up lots of oddments........some die cut trees I had........a large snowflake decoration.......a shrink plastic snowman........the title is quite glittery.......chipboard letters heat embossed with a snowflake embossing powder.......there's even a peel-off down the side that says 'let it snow'
The [brief] journaling reads 'In early December the snow came- more than I can ever remember seeing!'
I wanted to use one of the lovely mini doilies that Karen sent me.......on this page.....but can I find them........no!!......I put them somewhere 'safe' before Christmas......which is always a stupid thing to do.......so now a big search begins.......and one of the DDs had better not have borrowed them!
edited.....have found the doilies.....phew!

It's GORGEOUS Jacky and I quite understand how difficult it is to confine yourself to just two photos which was how I ended up with several Winter layouts myself!

Oh and THANKS for the suggestion about hubby's birthday trip to Brighton so you and I can meet up at a craft show - strangely, he didn't seem half as keen as me!!!!

Jacky, your card is beautiful. Funny how your photos look just like what we have here now in Pennslyvania! We had a big storm a few days ago but I think you had much more.

This is really beautiful, Jacky :-)

I think doilies have a secret life of their own! I have several that different people have given me, and I'm not sure where any of them are! (This could be because I'm not quite sure where to store them - with the patterned paper? 12 by 12 or A4? With the embellishments? Etc, etc!)

What a beautiful page! I spent almost an hour yesterday hunting for an alpha I knew I had! I finally found it, and it WAS perfect for my layout, so I'm very sympathetic about the "safe place" you stored the doilies. I'm sure they'll show up.

This page has got such a lovely eclectic feel to it - lots of things to look at and notice, just like when you step into a snowy garden for the first time.

Its gorgeous Jacky, love how you used little snippets of photos. The layout is gorgeous with those embellishments. I am always putting stuff away safe, never to be found again:(

SO pretty, Jacky! And I'm glad you found the doilies. You sound like me - put it somewhere safe...too safe because then I can't remember where I hid it! ;o)

I like the way you've grouped your photos together in the middle of the LO, what a great idea :) We'll soon forget how pretty the snow was but your page is a lovely reminder :)

Jacky
this is sooo darling! I love the colors you selected to alter it in. I have one that was altered two years ago...we want back to Ikea at Christmas time to purchase one for my brother and they no longer have them. I was so bummed.
I know your daughter will be so happy with her gorgeous Fira drawers!
