So I've decided to chose a word to focus on again this year.......and my word is 'develop'...... again it's a fairly open word.......and I think that works best for me.
I'm sure throughout the year I'll find lots of ways to use the word........but I have some immediate thoughts to get me started.
1. I want to develop my creativity.........I tend to play it safe........I want to develop areas outside my comfort zone........I love Rachel's knitting projects........I love Rinda's art journal projects......I want to develop skills in those areas.......and others.......and have made a start by joining the 'art calendar challenge'.
2.In fact I tend to play it safe in most areas of my life.....I'm not a risk taker........but I want to develop a bit more 'bravery' and occasionally be prepared to take a chance!!
3.I want to develop my digital skills this year........I don't want to be a digital scrapbooker..... but I do need to develop photo editing skills........and do the occasional hybrid project.........and overcome the fear of Photoshop Elements!!!!!
3.Cathy Zielske has written a lot on her blog about her 'Move More Eat Less' journey this year......I don't want to officially join in.....but I do want to develop far better eating and fitness habits.
I eat lots of good things........but I eat lots of bad things........ergo - I eat too much!!!! I need to develop far better portion control........and the ability to make healthier choices.
I get very little exercise.....too much of what I do is sedentary........teaching, crafting, blogging!!!! I need to develop a routine that includes far more exercise.
4. Last......but definately not least........I want to grow far more to eat this year.....which will help with 3.........the physical work involved and the resulting produce........so I need to properly develop a veg patch.

Great resolutions! I think I need to move more too x
As Amy says these are great objectives and I wish you all the luck and success with as many of them as you can.
I could certainly use portion control in my house!

These look like great aspirations, Jacky. Portion control and moving more are definitely on my list for the New Year, even if they don't exactly fit my word for the year.
Great word and great plans Jacky! You'll probably surprise yourself with how much of it you can accomplish. I know that moving more and eating healthier will make me HAPPY!
That's a fantastic word to choose Jacky - and I'm wishing you all the very best with everything you have outlined for the year ahead
That sounds great Jackie, and I'm sure you'll develop in lots of unexpected ways too as you push forward with all that.
Great Word choice!! Good luck with the list...& remember 'Aim for the moon & if only you reach the stars that'll still have been worth the effort!' :)
I am so excited that a few of my traditonal paper scrapping friends are giving PSE a go this year - I think you will have a lot of fun once you get going!
I love your choice of word and portions will be diminishing over here too!
Perfect word, Jacky. I'll look forward to seeing how you incorporate your word into your life during 2011. xo
What a great post Jacky! It feels like a five page art journal project to me - LOL! I had not heard of Cathy Z's eat less, move more until the other day, but I love the idea. It's part of what my word "health" is all about.

Good luck with all your goals. Lists always look long and daunting when you first start but I have every faith in you that you will achieve them all! You know what they say..A long journey always begins with one small step.

Wow!!!! What a fabulous and ambitious list! I love the idea of developing all those things you're going for.. good luck!
Great choice of word, Jacky :-) I like words that can be applied in different ways, though - like you - it can mean suddenly feeling that there's a lot involved!!
This is a great word for the year Jacky, there are lots of good aims in your list and I love the first image of feeling the fear and then gettig on with it! Something I need framed in my craft room I think!!!! :)
