A last minute decoration [with a sort of tutorial]!!

You may think it's a bit late for making a christmas decoration.....but Christmas Eve is perfect for this 'green' one.....though maybe not for photographing it!!!!!!
You need a smallish basket.......preferably with a plastic lining.....you could add your own......my basket was saved from a plant filled Mothers Day gift a few years ago
Add a piece of well soaked oasis to fit.......don't let anyone tell you it can only be used once....this piece has been used for the last 4 christmases.....and the holes don't stop it working perfectly. You could add a large hole in the centre for a candle as well.
Collect a variety of foliage from your garden.....or someone else's if you don't have one.......I always include some rosemary for the fragrance.
Poke the foliage into the oasis.......it doesn't have to be done artistically.......so long as the oasis is well covered....it will look great.....in fact, children love doing this.
Some red berries make a great addition....and I added a few flower heads from some I had in a vase.
If kept well watered it should easily last a week......one looks great as table centrepiece.....or 2 or 3 look good dotted around a room.
It costs almost nothing....and a shop would probably charge about £8 for one!!!!

It's lovely, Jacky. I'd love to take a class in floral arranging; looks like you could teach it!

It looks lovely, Jacky :-) It is too late for me to make one now lol - we don't have any suitable baskets, or any oasis - but I shall try to remember for next year!

Merry Christmas xx
