Over 2 weeks ago she had an interview for a new job.......they told her she would hear 'within a couple of days'........she heard nothing......and more nothing........and she's been despondent.....and grumpy.......and muttered unprintable things about firms 'who can't be bothered to let you know you haven't got a job'.
Today they phoned her......and offered her the job.......at higher pay than she was expecting.......with enhanced weekend pay.....and 3 days a week off........and apologies for the delay in getting back to her.
Oh.....what a difference a phone call can make!!!

Congrats! What wonderful news! Companies here often don't respond to applicants at all once they've made their decisions. I find that so unacceptable. Even a simple email would be preferable. So glad this ended up so well.
