Learn Something new Everyday

Yesterday I learned..........how embarrassing it can be to go out with a daughter.......sitting in Costa........on the next table was an elderly lady with long hair so matted it stood up by itself.......said daughter spent 5 minutes trying to surreptitiously take a pic of her on her mobile phone......why???.......I decided I didn't want to know!!!

But same daughter learned.......it's not a good idea to buy foundation based on the shade name........though why 'nearly nude' should make her face look orange, I don't know........I mean......how many nearly nude orange people do you know......on second thoughts....don't answer that.
Today I learned just how impatient I am.....though I probably already knew that one.......as I wait for a little grand daughter to be born.........today is her due date.......but she's obviously not as keen to meet the world.......as we are to meet her......though there are a few hours left yet!!
So instead of pacing the floor....what do you do...you learn something new!!
We have 2 over abundant apple trees.......so I learned to make apple sauce [OH loves with pork]
I learned to make apple muffins
I learned to make spiced apple tray bake
and I also stewed lots of apples to freeze for crumbles etc........you'll be pleased to hear......I already knew how to do that.
I'm just hoping that tomorrow I can learn what it's like having a grand daughter.

Oh dear me, that made me chuckle Jacky - I'm horribly afraid I might have tried the same thing myself in Costa's!!!

As to the Bare Escentuals - I love them and have never really had the problem of even being able to see anything other than a natural healthy look so either the shade was SO completely wrong for DD or she put it on with a makeup sponge instead of a bruch - either way - that made me smile too . . . a lot!!! Maybe she buffed and swirled but forgot to tap!

Muffins look super yummy too

Be patient on the baby front - let her finish cooking and she'll come in her own sweet time - due dates are only guestimates anyway. But while you are waiting to become a grandma, you can come bake for me! All your apple delicacies look scrumptious!
