A bit of Tim Holtz grunge

There's a new challenge blog Simon Says Stamp + Show......run by the wonderful Linda Elbourne.......which is dedicated to all things Lord Tim of Holtz.....and this week their challenge is 'layers'....so how could I possibly resist that!!......even though I don't own a lot of Timmie stuff.
Now I have to say......my camera didn't like this.....at any time of the day......must have been the metallics....so not good photos.
I embossed a piece of silver card with the cogs embossing folder, painted it with the pitch black acrylic dabber and then rubbed with kitchen towel to give a sort of burnished metal effect......and layered it onto black and white card........the girl stamps are Crafty Individuals and the clock and sentiment stamps are Paper Artsy.
There's a lot of layering.....sorry it's not easy to see......the girls were covered with glossy accents and layered onto silver card, white card and 7 Gypsies papers. Clocks were cut and layered on top. Close up photo shows the layering a bit better.
The sentiment was painted with Rock Candy crackle glaze to give a bit of distressing.
The edges were distressed with silver and black inks.........finally a little clock embellishment was added. The sketch was from Truly Scrumptious.

Jacky I find metallics extremely difficult to photograph - as is jewlery.
This is just great, I find it to be a combination of you and a touch Rinda-esque :-)

Love this!!! The background is totally fabulous. I also really like Amy's comment b/c you and I do have very different styles, but they are also very complimentary!

I really like your card! I love the embossed background with the acrylic glaze, it looks awesome in the picture. I wish I could see the crackle glaze but I am sure it looks great too. Your layered composition is really nice! Wishing you all the best.
