Back to Christmas

After all the excitement of yesterday......thank you all so much for all the lovely comments.........back to the craft table.......and xmas cards waiting to be made.

Pollycraft Monday don't want any red or green......so more of a wintery choice [which also matches our weather today!].........took a few liberties with the Sweet Stop sketch.....hope they won't mind......a bit of cute for Stamp Something......anything goes for Just Magnolia........and Simon Says has holiday fun in mind.
Today I've learned
1. It's not the best idea to colour stamped images in artificial light........the shade you
get.......isn't always the shade you wanted [see card above- wrong blue].
2. When DD1 has used a kitchen cupboard [a rare occurence as her mantra is 'I understand the concepts of cooking and cleaning, just not how they apply to me'].........open very carefully......as a dish may jump out....and not only commit suicide.....but break my favourite mug as well "sigh".
3. That when I have a lot of errands to do out and about.......it is likely to bucket down with rain!
4. That when I stay up half the night........even with a very good reason.......I will be exhausted by the following evening.

it is a gorgeous card, even if the blue isn't the exact shade you wanted!

Sorry to hear about your mug :( It just doesn't taste the same from a different one!

I bet the excitement hasn't really died down that much , has it?

I too am sorry to hear about the demise of your favourite mug - we've all had THAT one happen to us somehow, sometime.

Doesn't matter that the blue isn't the one you thought it was goign to be - the card is just lovely and a very worthy addition to your ever growing collection of Christmas cards - how many have you made so far this year?

Again, CONGRATULATIONS Grandma - bet you are still on a high.

All the best

Such a lovely card . . . very feminine without being too girly.

Gorgeous card Jacky, love the blues. You will have to make a baby's first christmas one soon lol. Poor mug. I had that happen to me too, only my son was flipping a 50p coin in the air and it fell on my mug and sliced the handle completely off!!

Love your writing style - made me chuckle, though I am very sympathetic about the mum incident. :)

The card is gorgeous..in spite of not being the shade of blue you intended!!

Sorry about your fave mug...my son dropped an Emma Bridgewater plate this week, which smashed beyound repair...A design no longer available too...so I empathise fully!!!

Oh, no - your poor mug! I lost mine in similar circumstances :-(

And I can totally relate to #4, though I didn't have good reason to be up (see tomorrow's blog post...)

Lovely card, I do like wintry blues :-)
