Anyone for even more Christmas????

Maybe this should be the last christmas card for awhile......4 in a week seems a bit excessive......and I have a zillion holiday photos that need sorting and scrapping!!!!
But I couldn't resist using my other new LOTV stamp......with their challenge sketch.
Coloured with copics........SU real red card, decorative papers and ribbon......punched stars and snowflakes [they're shimmery gold, but doesn't show in photo].
Creative Inspirations and Creative Cottage both want 'xmas'........and Totally Gorjuss want 'stars'.
Have had a lovely morning....meeting up for coffee with a work colleague....catching up on what we've been doing during the holidays......with the cutbacks our government is making.....it looks like the type of courses I tutor on will be drastically cut.......so I need some other forms of income as well.......S suggested running card making classes......which is an idea......I could run them at home.....anyone any suggestions on how to advertise them without it costing a fortune??

Cardmaking classes sounds like a great idea. You could think about offering to do a class for W.I. or MU meeting and charge a fee for that and then publicise other classes to the folk who attend. Get a foot in the door kind of thing!

Well its gorgeous and who cares if its 4 in a week, 4 more than me lol. Pop a wee notice in your local shop about card classes, or your local community centre might be interested. Get some of those free calling cards on line.

I'm still amazed that you have made so many beautiful Christmas cards already! Do you have a local craft shop you could advertise card classes in? Or one that has a little area out the back where you could actually hold the classes? The Community Centre where I live has a board where people advertise things like this on it. Or maybe via the local playgroups along the lines of 'while your child is having fun at nursery, why not learn a new skill ...'

It's a lovely card, Jacky. I'm always in awe of your beautiful handwork and patience with coloring in your adorable stamps. I think you could easily teach some card classes! And what about selling card kits through Etsy? Just a thought...good luck! xo

Hi Jacky,

Great idea about running cardmaking classes - got to be worth a go! I have had some success from advertising on Netmums, you could also try other craft forums. Flyers in newsagent windows etc are quite cheap.. and leaflets in the local library, on community notice boards in the supermarket - all worth a try.

What about all the ladies from the classes you were tutoring? Let them know your plans, I'm sure they'd be interested. Good luck!
