Retiring in the Summer!

I'm out for a meal tonight with a group of colleagues to 'celebrate' the end of the school year.....it should be fun.......and far more relaxed than our usual meetings!
One colleague is retiring.......so I've made a card for her.......a bright summery one.
Used the gorgeous pack of MME papers free with this month's Cardmaking + Papercrafts magazine........a lovely Anya image sent by Lou for my birthday.........coloured with copics......Hero Arts flowers.......Poundstretchers gems......Martha Stewart border punch......all layered up.
Another of Friday Sketchers wonderful sketches........Creative Cottage, Kaboodledoodles and Sir Stampalot all want 'summer'.....and Anyone for Anya want 'anything goes'.

While I'm still busy with Camp Scrap.......Shimelle's new class 'Love your pictures, love your pages' has now started as well........think I'm going to be busy!!!!!! And in response to this mornings prompt have been busy photographing my lovely yellow poppies......a sure sign of summer.
Shimelle's classes are always great.....and there's still time to join in here.

Those poppies are gorgeous. I'm the opposite of green fingered so I'll be off to see mum this afternoon to photograph her flowers.

Love your flowers, too. I'm heading out in a minute or two to find some flowers to photograph! xx

This is my first class with Shimelle but I don't think it's too soon to say she is a great instructor. Love the contrast of the yellow on the kind of muted green.

Smashing card from you - enjoy your dinner. Thanks for trying to leave a comment on my blog - I'm hoping it's only a temporary glitch as I have NO IDEA how to fix it if not!!!

Beautiful card, Jacky, I'm sure your colleague will love. I tried to do Shimelle's prompt to photo my flowers but with 100 degree temps here, my flowers are all drying out. I water them but they are still thirsty. We need cooler weather and some RAIN!!!!
