Catching Up??

One of my aims this year was to try and make a christmas card a week.........save all the last minute panic........have I kept up with this aim.......not even close......not by a mile.......though in mitigation I have done a lot of scrapbooking........and now the gardening seems to have taken over!!
But today......one for the christmas box....using the very interesting sketch at Friday Sketchers.
Just Magnolia want 'one for the girls' so have gone for bright, girly colours......and dug out my SU watercolour crayons for this one......lots of layers.......some faux stitching [for Susie + Vikki's Christmas Challenge].......and some Craftwork Cards card candy.
And now back to the garden.......to plant my bargain plants........bought yesterday at Friary Gardens Open Day.......where everything is grown by a group of autistic adults.......and the sales help fund the project.

Balance is a good thing! And I'm sure you'll be pleased to have any Christmas cards done before fall.

I went over and had a look at that sketch because I liked the unusual tilt you have on your card. That's a good one! You are better getting out in the garden while you can..the rain will be back soon enough and then you can get stuck into the card making!

Great card and you are ambitious! If I could do a card a day, I would be ready and then some. I wish I could do what you're doing.

That is a gorgous card...I gave up card making except for one or two 'special' ones as I hated the thought that all that work probably ended up in someone else's recycling!!! I'm afraid scrapbooking wins hands down!!

But I'm with you on the garden front...so hard to settle to crafting when the sun shines & there are weeds to pull & bedding to plant...I love getting my hands in the soil out there!!

Hi Jacky.... I also said I was going to do some christmas cards but alas..it's May already and not one done.
We have been measuring the garden and costing up the decking and have made a bit of headway there with a friend coming over mid June for the weekend to lend a hand.
My visit to the school was very interesting...It's a lot bigger and has a very different feel to our local community one. Interviews next week I think, so I hope I get one as I do have an excited feeling about actually getting a paid job now after all this studying and volunteering!

Lovely card - hope you manage to get some work done in the garden with all this rain coming and going.

Awwww Jacki this is fantastic, love it so much, it is so sweet. You are not alone in being a mile away from making Christmas cards... I'm miles away too, not even started !!!

What a great idea to make one Christmas card a week until December. And although you may not have kept with it completely, I think that having ONE done is a great accomplishment! (It's certainly one more than I've made so far...ha!) This card is adorable, Jacky!

Nice idea to make a Christmas card a week (even if it hasn't worked out yet!) and not be rushed when it's time to write out the cards. Love the card.
