Yesterday's prompt from 'Something from [almost] Nothing' was about using up some of those ribbons we all have stashed away.
I often use ribbon on cards.....but rarely on layouts.....so it was great to see some lovely ideas for using it in scrapbooking.
So another birthday LO for my 'Celebrate Life' album.......used up papers, card and embellishments left over from other projects........some Thickers letters.....lots of oddments of ribbon......and a vast number of Craftwork Cards black card candy........ which I've never used in scrapbooking before.
DS's 8th birthday party.......note the original Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles theme......he loved them.......wish I'd kept the toys.......are probably collectables now!!!

I love this! the busy vibe is so cool and reflective of a birthday party!!! my husband to be was a turtles fan...i think he still has the odd figure somewhere :)

I love those semi-circles! Beautiful pages :-) I remember making a turtles cake for my The Boy for his 6th birthday - I totally wimped out and just iced the TMNT logo onto the top (and that was hard enough!)

These layouts are such fun, Jacky! And what a great idea to make your Celebrate Life album birthday-themed.. as you say, it narrows down what photos you are going to use.. which is half the battle!
