But I do have a big box of plain cardstock scraps.......I use them for cards.......and layering photos on layouts.
So decided to go very bright for this one.......and added some texture to some of the card with a Cuttlebug embossing folder........and to some with punched mini circles........just couldn't leave it plain!!!!
I quite like the finished effect....but don't think I'll be giving up the patterned paper just yet!!!!

lovely and bright, looks a fun layout.
Lovely Jacky x
I seem to be the only person NOT to have done this prompt!
Yours is lovely and colourful and so appropriate for a children's page.
I love your take on this - in fact, I think it may be my favorite of your Shimelle layouts. The polka dots are a perfect compliment to the squares, I think. And how cool to essentially use a variation of one of the pp ideas for this one!

Jacky, I *love* this! With all the texture and punchies it looks like it IS patterned :-) Bright and beautiful! x
This is sooo brilliant Jacky, it stands out just so beautifully, echoing the happiness of the pictures. Well done you.

those vibrant colours look great!
I like the colors very much, and also the punches.
Those gorgeous bright colours really have a party atmosphere! I'm a big patterned paper fan too; but I love what you've done with the plain scraps
This is fabulous. Love it. Lauren x
But it LOOKS like patterned paper! :)
I love how you've used the embossing and the punch, gives the cardstock character. Brillaint layout.
