Thought for Thursday

Woke up to a world of white....about 5 inches of snow dumped on us overnight.......local schools are closed.....so no work today.......am going to help DD sort/tidy her room......take a couple of hours.......OH NO.......this is going to be a whole day's job!!!
So I'll leave you with this...............

THE FINAL WORD ON NUTRITION

After an exhaustive review of the research literature, here's the final word on nutrition and health:

Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.

Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.

Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.

Italians drink excessive amounts of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.

Germans drink beer, eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.

The French eat foie-Gras, full fat cheese, drink red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.

CONCLUSION:

Eat and drink what you like.

Speaking English is apparently what kills you.

thought of u at 8am while I watched the weather forecast. Hope u r keeping warm and not doing all the work with DD. I love the nutritional info, it made me laugh. When my dad was ill in hospital and unconscious we would read to him and I remember reading him an article one Sunday from the magazine about wine for different ailments!

Your blanket of snow looks so beautiful, we are totally clear of snow at the moment, although it does keep trying. Like your quotation thingy, I do wonder sometimes could we ever get the food thing balanced properly.
Happy crafting

Oh yuk Jacky, more snow, poor you. We have blue skies and lots of sunshine! You know what they say about food, a little bit of what you fancy won't kill you! Its the little bit I have a problem with lol.

Jacky, we had a blizzard here in Pennsylvania yesterday. Got another 24 inches on top of the storm over the weekend that measured 20 inches. Now, I love snow but this is crazy!

So, do you think I'm crazy when you hear that I'll be driving four hours on Saturday to spend a long weekend in the snow? The kids will ski. I will rest!

I'm reading Food Rules now. Every night my husband asks me if we're eating real food. This made me laugh!
