A Little bit more Love

Though not of the Valentine's sort.........this one's an anniversary card I needed to make.....thought the cute little Fairy Doodles image was perfect.....but think the colours may be a bit over the top!!
Image watercoloured.........papers a real mix........Basic Grey,DCWV plus some digi downloads
............cut some hearts from the paper as embellishments........plus some Prima flowers.
A few challenges Susie's Sassy Challenge and Polka Doodles have 'hearts and flowers'........Tuesday Taggers have 'love is all around'........Pixie Cottage,Simon Says and Cute Card Thursday have 'love', Stamp with Fun and Daring Cardmakers have 'hearts',  Stamp Something has 'cute' and Die Cut Dreams have 'have a heart'
Today have had some nostalgia.....children's TV nostalgia.........Amy posted yesterday about her daughter watching Playschool [yep, it's still going strong in Oz, sadly not in the UK]........ and influenced by that ...........today Jo posted about all her favourite programmes from childhood..........which brought loads of memories back.........and being an old dinosaur I can even remember 'Watch with Mother' [anyone else still left out there who can??] with Andy Pandy and The Woodentops.........and what about The Magic Roundabout'. OMG.. they don't make them like that anymore!!!

Oh yes, I'm a Woodentop girl too! Spotty dog used to have me in hysterics!
I never really liked Andy Pandy or Looby Lou but Teddy got my vote. How about Bill and Ben? Nowadays they moan about the Tellytubbies not speaking properly, I don't think B&B were good role models either!

Jacky - been following your blog for awhile now and really enjoying the beautiful cards you make. I don't stamp (and have no desire to start). But it got me to wondering... is all your card-making personal, or do you sell them somewhere?

It's a lovely anniversary card, and I love pink and green used together. Really envy your card making ability. I do struggle with every card I make.

I can remember Andy Pandy and The Woodentops :) They certainly don't make them like they used to. Even Blue Peter doesn't seem the same any more lol

Erm - can't remember the Woodentops, sorry. Or the original Andy Pandy.....

I love your card though, especially the unusually shaped frame x

Those little hearts are a great balance for the flower! I am afraid the cultural references don't translate to here!

Hi Jacky....I love this colour combo...works well!!!!
I used to love 'Black Beauty' and 'White Horses' and 'Mary Mungo and Midge'..do you remember 'The Doubledeckers'. I had a chat with kathyk on craftbubble about this and she found me a link to 70's kids programmes...It was fab watching the intros again.

This is really cute! I only remember the magic roundabout out of the ones that you listed. Had loads of faves, bagpuss, chorlton and the wheelie world, and Mr Ben!!!

Crikey you've awakened some old memories Jacky, the good old days when all you had to worry about was getting a good seat in front of the tv lol. Love your card, those colours are beautiful together and the image is perfect for an anniversary.

We have a show called The Magic Roundabout here at the moment .... it isn't Australian and it is animated but, it may be a take off from the original??

Lovely card Jacky. I also remember the Woodentops and Andy Pandy, and what about Tales of the Riverbank and Trumpton! I used to love them all and I so agree with Sian that even Blue Peter's not the same now!Now wouldn't a range of Magic Roundabout stamps go down a treat if someone were to market them? x
