Cornwall Holiday Album finished

Have managed to finish my holiday album.........the last 2 pages are the Eden Project........a totally amazing place......I learned so much just in the day we were there......as you can imagine I took loads of photos........am going to use most of them in an Eden mini album.......but just had to put some in the main album.
Have loved using this size album [11 x 8.5] as pages are fairly quick to do.....but can still fit a fair amount in.
No white space here!!!!!  Lots of layering.......and lots of embellishments.
I've always tended to print my journaling........like many people I don't like my own handwriting.....and have always felt it ruined the page.......but now I've started using it sometimes......am finding it easier and easier to do.........and for heritage reasons feel it is important to sometimes use your own writing.
Over on Elizabeth's blog......she's been doing a tablet class.....and can now even add her own handwriting to digi pages.....which is really cool.
Do you use your own handwriting??....do you think it's important or not??

Hi Jacky...
Great pages...We have been to the Eden project and it was a beautiful sunny day spent wandering amongst the plants!
I used to always write my own sentiments and then I got more stash like rub ons... stickers..labels etc and thought they looked better but then a few customers told me they prefered it when I had written it myself.
I agree that for future years it is nice to do it on your scrapbooks...I still love looking at my mums handwriting on birthday cards and letters...and it brings back very strong memories of her!

Yes, I think using your handwriting is really important. I hate my handwriting, but I use it because I know that I only have one little scrap of my Dad's handwriting and I would love a bit more. Your enlarged photos are beautiful :)

I always handwrite my journaling - mostly cuz I'm too lazy to type and print out my journaling or figure out how to do fonts & cardstock in my printer. Also, I worry about how archival my printing is, but I know my pens are.

These are absolutely gorgeous of gorgeousville. I love the colour so much and really struggled with green. My hand always reaches for the pink instead :/ I use a mix of my own writing and digital. I'm sort of not aiming for perfection on my pages. When I need smaller text I print it as my handwriting won't go small. These pages are gorgeous. Aha I didn't even spot these are 8.5 x 11 I must have wonky eyes I thought they were 12 x 12...why haven't I thought of using 11 x 8.5 this way around before?! Thanks jacky :) Oh and see you in class!!!

Gorgeous LOs Jacky, love the fact you've used an unusual size, I've recently seen someone working in 12x6 and love it - I could be converted.

Handwriting, I try not to write on my LOs and I really do feel that it ruins them!!

Love your layouts Jacky, they have come up beautifully. Gorgeous papers and love the little flowers. I do prefer handwritting for scrap pages, not so much on cards though as my writing is not the best lol.

Great pages that really capturethe magic of the place Jacky. I think there is a definite real feel when handwriting is used and it adds character to very personal items. Hugs Cherry XXX

Those are gorgeous LO and bring back so many memories.

I do handwrite some journalling and feel it is important to do so. I am trying toi be less worried about my handwriting/doodling and just go for it, but there are times when I feel I need a title esp in a 'proper' font/alphas.

I try and use my own handwriting although I hate it, as I think it is important.
I love your album, I must do my holidays sometime, seeing yours makes me want to get the photos out.

Jacky, the photos used in your layouts are wonderful. That must be some place to visit.

Well done! Love it :-)

I use my own handwriting occasionally, because I do think it's important to preserve it; I do loathe my own writing though!!

been a super album Jacky, I've enjoyed looking. The evening gown image on my latest post is Kanban, but had it a while now at least 5/6 months and it was from my craft shop but they change the Kanban stock often and only cary 6/8 different ones. Hope you can track it down.
Happy crafting
