Create a Calendar.....first page

Back in September I bought a  'Create a Calendar' from The Paper Mill shop........put it away for later.......and forgot all about it.......as you do......or certainly as I do.........luckily found it yesterday.
It comes with the top half blank for you to decorate yourself..........I thought I could do different techniques for different  months.........and as it's not a gift........I don't have to do the whole calendar in advance......thought I would do it towards the end of the month.....and then post on the first of the month.......well, that's the aim anyway!! It's a calendar just for me......
to go in my craft area.

So this month..........surprise, surprise.......I've started with some stamping......I just had to use my wonderful new Edwin stamp that came in my Magnolia blog candy..........he's just perfect for the weather we're having.
Edwin's been coloured with copics..... .....the papers and most embellishments are from DCWV Winter Stack........the snowflakes are a PM punch........and there's some Stickles on there as well.
The Saturday Challenge want 'new beginnings'........as do Stampin for the Weekend.......think a new year should count....Crazy4 Challenges want 'polkadots'....CraftyAnn wants 'something new' ........Stamp Something want 'new somethings'........Fuss and Fancy want 'new'........so Edwin should cover those ones.......Saturday Spotlight want a calendar.
It's finally stopped snowing........but hoping the schools are closed tomorrow.........as I'm going to have a BIG problem getting there for work in the morning......they seem to have run out of grit here......is there a world shortage.......they surely can't have used the whole year's supply already.....but even main roads here weren't gritted last night........as DD found out at 7am this morning as her car slid all over the roads......luckily not much else about at that time.......but she finally had to abandon the car in Battle.......there'll be no chance of mine getting up the hill in the morning!!
Edited 9.30pm...spoke too soon...now there's a blizzard!!

Jacky had one of these in my hand a week ago and put it back on the shelf. Wish I had bought it now, its a great idea and I love your first page very apt! No grit here either, just back from tescos and hardly any food there, no bread left! My hubby is off school tomorrow as their heating broke, daughter is due back to school tomorrow but who knows. Take care if you do have to go.

Jacky,
I found THREE (yes, 3) similar calendars when putting away the Christmas stuff! I thought I'd have to wait until next year, but you're inspiring me to maybe make one as I go along.
Thanks for the grand idea!

lol I'm always putting stuff away and forgetting about it!! Classic example was a gorgeous baby outfit, age 3-6 months, put it away for The Boy and found it when The Girl was 6 months old...

I *love* what you've done with this calendar :-) Can't wait to see the rest!

What a great idea to make it and share at the beginning of the month, I'm sure it will be fun to look back through at the end of the year.

I love the way your doing your calendar, It will be nice to watch it come together over the months. A bit like your Christmas Album. My sons Nursery is closed for the rest of the week, but not too sure on the two big ones school, but I ain't sending them and running the risk of the school bus being taken off, as our roads are pretty bad. If you do go into work keep safe.
Happy crafting
