An altered clipboard

I like altered clipboards........you can do lots with them.........you can 'escape out of the box'.......they hang on the wall very easily........and they make great gifts.
This one is for my brother......about his daughter.......it has photos of him, his partner and daughter.
The clipboard was painted with acrylic paint and partly covered with decorative paper........there's lots of ribbon and fibres......the name at the top was made from clay.........there's buttons and flowers.........a variety of quotes [I love 'where does the time go']......lots of bits and pieces from stash........nothing new used.
One of my aims this year is to have a go at digital scrapping........last week Ali Edwards posted all week on the basics of digital scrapping.....I left a comment saying how useful her posts were.....my comment won a prize.....The Daily Digi's monthly kits for January and February.....so now it should be easier.......if I can only get to grips with Photoshop Elements.....no mean feat for me!!!

Wow! Jacky, you won on Ali's blog! How cool is that!
Re: the clipboard -
You never cease to amaze me - I had you all pegged as the layering/ cute stamp card Goddess and then you whip off something like this (or your Tim tag or you vintage card) that is so different (yet still so you)!
You go girl!

Jacky you are right about these, this is just gorgeous, what a gift! I have one lying untouched as yet, must give it a go. Thanks for the inspiration. I like digi scrapbooking but haven't got PE so I just use My Craft Studio, simple enough for me.

Hey, I know someone who won something on Ali's blog - go Jacky!
That's how I got interested in Digi - seeing how Ali progressed and how she still kept her journaling a big part of the process really encouraged me!
Love the clipboard - have you ever altered a paint tin? That was really big here for a while - great for storing another present inside - filled a 4lt tine with jelly beans for hubby one Father's Day .... we only finished them late last year - they were a bit sad by that stage!

This is splendid Jacky and I'm sure it will be treasured. Where did you get your clipboard? Is it chipboard/hardboard/plastic?

The clipboard is wonderful. Haven't ventured into altering one yet but it is on my list. I like how you added all the different elements.

Congrats on the win and gorgeous altered items! Shimelle posted an easy tutorial for using layered templates a few weeks ago, might help with PSE. I start a class I won at Cathy Zielske's tomorrow!! How to make brushes in PSE, sounds terrifying! xxx
