Copics Masterclass at The Craft Barn

I spent Sunday afternoon at The Craft Barn on a 'Copics Masterclass'...........the class had had to be postponed a few times.......so I've been looking forward to it forever [well months anyway] .......couldn't wait to get there.......and a lovely last minute surprise was that the class was being tutored by the Chris. 10 of us spent a brilliant afternoon..........watching Chris demo the pens..........seeing some of her lovely work......... learning all sorts of tips and techniques........the main one being how to shade with them..........well......it's going to take me awhile.......and a lotta lotta practise......as you will see from the image below [and that was my better one!!!].......I even found staying inside the line hard!!!!
But am determined to persevere..........and as quite a few pens jumped into my basket......I at least have a variety of colours and shades to play with.
Watch this space!!!! The Kadoodle Amelia has been coloured [not that brilliantly!] with copics.......card is core_dinations and white SU with torn edging.......papers are DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Boy...............snowflakes PM punch and Doodlebug mauve glitter brads..............sentiment is Penny Black 'I wish it could be Christmas everyday' on shrink plastic...........Dovecraft ribbon...........faux stitching.

And can you tell me this.......how come the camera can see the purple perfectly well on the trousers........but seems to think the same colour on the card is black???!! In fact the whole card is shades of purple/mauve!

The sketch is a lovely one from Friday Sketchers.......and Charisma Cardz want 'distressing'.... hope that all the tearing counts.

Jacky, if you would still like to come to my Make & Take, let me know (noticed Dawn offering to car share with you as well) - seems silly not to jump at the opportunity to meet you :) Hugs, Steph xxx
