Dottie's World button card

Seems ages since I've posted...hectic Bank Holiday weekend....shopping....cleaning..... gardening... friends for dinner......massive boot sale......more gardening......dog walking.....bbq....more gardening.

Typical English weather....baking hot or pouring with rain....it managed to fill a 100 litre water butt in 2 hours yesterday morning!!!!

Not much time for crafting...but did manage this card for Dottie's World where a card made with one of their gorgeous downloads had to have buttons or beads on it.

Used an image from their Mikey download [which is brilliant for teenage/20 something male cards] but also includes the one Mikey and Madison image which I've used here.....along with papers from PM Retro Flower pad.....PM stones......Tesco paper ribbon.....some oddments of card....and buttons and ribbon from stash.

Although the image is very modern.....think the papers give it a slightly vintage feel.....especially as they are far more muted than the photo suggests!!!!!

Great card for those tricky lads!
I like the way you have done the sentiment as well. You can manage to do Vintage shabby chic...I have yet to be happy with this style when I try it. I just can't do it so it looks good.
