I've spent yesterday afternoon in my garden......with temperatures in double figures.....without a coat......in the sun.
And despite the fact I'm sooooo behind with my gardening due to our
lupins are just coming through
day lilies are shooting up
geraniums are spreading
the Spring rockery plants are flowering
the hydrangeas and buddleia have been cut back
[with Chester supervising]
the rose leaves are opening
the plum tree is budding
the garlic chives are just beginning
and nothing says "Spring" like a little patch of daffs
phew......I think we may have made it......it's raining today.....but that,of course, is typical Spring weather in the UK!!!

I was only thinking of you and your wonderful garden the other day Jacky - I can only imagine how wonderful it must feel to see the signs of spring and have your hands in the dirt!
I meant to also say, cherish the rain - we need it badly here and one thing that all my family members and friends, who have visited the UK remark upon, is the lush green colour everywhere ... our greens are silvery and muted, almost dull ... we just don't have the same rainfall.
Your garden is definitely springing into life Jacky and is already looking so lovely! Sadly, it's windy and raining in our northern corner this morning but I'm crossing my fingers for some spring sunshine next week!
Happy Sunday!

Yep, I think it might be..I'm thinking about hanging my washing outside! Your photos are a lovely boost this morning
I love all the pretty shrubs and flower budding and blooming. Can't wait to see more pictures in the summer,

We not quite there yet but the trees are starting to bud up, and the daffodils are blooming. The weather is now in the 60s instead of the 40s and feels really good.
My geraniums are spreading too and I was thinking this morning that the buddleia needs cutting right back. But it's still rather cold and damp and windy here. Glad it's picking up where you are.
Wow! Lots happening in your garden!
Lovely Jacky, it's such a lovely time of year and such a shame when we can't get out to enjoy it.
It looks to me like you have plenty of evidence to say spring is here! I have two helleborus blooming, and finally saw some buds on the Korean pear tree, but there's not much else. Warmer temperatures this week will hopefully make a big difference.
I do hope Spring is on its way as I am well and truly fed up with the cold. Lupins take me right back to my childhood as my dad always grew them.
I love to see signs of Spring popping up in the garden like these!! Your garden looks lovely! x
I love springtime in the garden...it certainly LOOKS as if Spring is springing!
