A group of happy looking people

Apart from me,of course......though I actually was very happy......who wouldn't be at the Bloggers Crafting Weekend.......but this is why I usually avoid being photographed......it's safer behind the camera!!!
The weekend involved a lot of creativity from a lot of busy crafters.......with a lot of stash involved.......not to mention a lot of eating....with a lot of food involved
including Mel's famous malteser cake
oh sorry.......maybe not.......but you can find the recipe on her blog here and make your own!! Speaking of Mel.......she had set us all a bit of a 'twinchie' challenge....all will be revealed in a future post.
Staying getting busy with my 'extended' S J Crafts kit.......this is the second page I made.
though it's not really a 'page' at all......it's going in a 12 x 12 frame on the wall.....OH has been asking me to make something for the wall with this photo [taken 2 years ago] for ages.......it includes our friend who has since passed away......and until now it has just been too difficult for me to do.....but it was easier to make surrounded by other people.....and I'm glad I did......because I love it.......[thanks to Fay for the flower,Jennifer for the washi tape and Mrs Wookie for the wonderful sentiment stamp]..
And there's more weekend craftiness yet to come!

Jacky! You look great!

I've had to stare at the group photo for a couple of minutes just to let it sink in that there you all were together - how fantastic!

Thanks for sharing these photos and I think you have made a beautiful layout, framing it is the perfect idea!

It was lovely sitting near you and I'm delighted you enjoyed using the stamps (makes me feel less guilty if other people get to share my stash you know....)

Hope OH likes the page.

I really love that LO and it will be beautiful on the wall. I also prefer to be behind the camera as I particularly unphotogenic as I think the group shot shows!! I think you look fab! xxx

You are one very busy woman Jacky. How lovely to get away with all those crafty friends, something I have never had the pleasure of unfortunately. Love your beautiful layouts.

I just love that group photo, and have now seen it on several blogs. So much fun that I can recognize folks I've never met! To say I'm envious would be putting it mildly. Great page, and it will look lovely framed.

We had a wonderful weekend didn't we. That page is so lovely - I didn't remember it was of your departed friend, sorry - it will look fabulous up on the wall.

Yes...it Was good Malteser Cake.. it certainly didn't last long - and even when Mel hid the other half, to save it for Sunday, some naughty blogger snaffled a bit... (not me, I promise!).

I did enjoy the weekend and it was great to meet you Jacky. I hope you can come to another Weekend too - I plan on making this a regular event!

Love the Page/ Picture. I like to put favourite pages on display - I bought two 12" acrylic display panels; they are just a thick sheet of acrylic, which has been bent round at top & bottom, to make somewhere to slide the page into, so it stays put behind the plastic. You can hang it on the wall, by looping ribbon/string through the top, or it can be stood on a mantle-piece/cupboard, and lean against the wall. It always seems sad to just stick our pages into albums, so this is a nice way to display a couple of favourites and change them from time to time.
Hope your DH was pleased with the page you made - its a fab way to display a favourite photo from your holiday!

I had to go into iPhoto to check that you were in the photo I was taking in your photo (OK I'm getting confusing again!). Lovely to meet you. When's the next one?

Your photos are fabulous Jacky. I love the one of the twinchies all stacked up together!

Your page is beautiful, I didn't realise it was such a poignant one when you were making it. I'm glad my washi helped out a little. I hope your OH likes the page, and that you'll treasure it as a happy memory. x

I've been lucky enough to try Mel's Malteaser cake. I'm not surprised that there was none left to photograph!
