I love my conservatory......especially at this time of the year.....when it's bright and warm.....but not too hot......and especially I love my pine dresser.......bought when the children were very small......costing more than we could really afford......but I've never regreted buying it......and it's full of some of my favourite things......so let me introduce you to 10 of them
The photo of my mother.......taken in 1944 when she was 21.......'cleaned up' by my brother. My Easter cactus.......at least 10 years old......it doesn't always flower at the right time......but this year it was spot on!
The beautiful pottery jug......a birthday present from my brother....some years ago.
The clock was my grandfather's........which is why I love it though it's not really to my taste....not sure how old it is......but it still works......and only loses a couple of minutes a day
The fairies are very pretty.......but it's the blue and white jug that is one of my treasures........it was my mum's......they were given free to customers by Express Dairies when she was a child.
My little chest of drawers.......holds all sorts of bits and bobs.......distress painted......and decorated with sunflowers.
My sunflower 'fairy' lights......that trail round the dresser......and give a lovely glow to the conservatory in the evening.
The candlestick is one of a pair......another birthday present......and lovely to use at dinner parties.
The vase was bought for a few pence at a boot fair.......but I love it filled with sunflowers in the late summer.
And finally......my metal sunflower watering can.......bought for me very recently by my friend G........I love it....she knew I would [can you tell I love sunflowers??].
Hope you enjoyed the tour round the dresser.......though there is plenty more on there still to see!!!! And if you pop over to Shimelle's......you can view a lot more '10 things'.
